Mead Bradner Trip Reports
Mead Bradner was an engineer who worked for the Foxboro Company from the mid 1940s to the 1980s, at one point he served as the company’s Director of Research. He took many trips for the company between 1962 and 1984. Most of the trips were to coordinate with the Foxboro Company’s manufacturing partners in Japan and Europe. The other trips were to attend technical standards meetings or industry conferences and trade shows.
He dictated reports during and after each of these trips. His secretary transcribed the reports from the tapes. The reports are more chatty travelogues than dry technical details. He talks about the travel, the people, the food and his observations of the societies he visited. They provide snapshots of corporate business travel over a 20 year period.
